Chupinazo
At 12:00 noon on the 6th of July, the mayor of Pamplona ignites a cohete (rocket) which signals the beginning of the festivities of San Fermin.
Procesion
On July 7th at 10am the city and church officials attend this traditional procession through the streets of Pamplona with the statue and relics of Saint Fermin, the patron of Pamplona and the festival.
Encierro
The “encierro” refers to the daily 8am release and running of the bulls through the streets of Pamplona.
Bull Fights
There is a bull fight (corrida) at the Plaza de Toros every afternoon of the festival at 6:30pm.
Fireworks
Every night during the festival at 11:00pm a huge crowd gathers in the central park to view the fireworks over La Vuelta del Castillo near the center of Pamplona.
Pobre de mi
This is the farewell ceremony at midnight on the night of July 14 in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
