Leaving from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento at 1:30pm, the giants and cabezudos (the Comparsa) accompany the statue with the city officials in the religious procession through the streets of Pamplona. They walk through the streets Mercaderes and Curia to get the Cabildo from the Cathedral, then they return through the streets to the church of San Lorenzo. They then walk through the streets Taconera, San Antón, Zapatería,
Calceteros, Plaza Consistorial, San Saturnino y Mayor.
The group rests in the plaza Mayor while the Eucharist is celebrated at Mass. Then the comparsa (giants and cabezudos) march their way through Pamplona back to the bus station.

The city and religious officials get the cabildo and walk to the chapel of San Fermin to honor the saint with Holy Mass, presided by the Archbishop of Pamplona with la Capilla de Música y el Orfeón Pamplonés.

Amusement rides, candy and family fun is a 10 min. walk below the old part of Pamplona. “Las Barracas” is the area near Parque de la Runa where a Ferris wheel (”la noria”) and amusement rides are set up. This area is a popular spot for families during the day (when many of the night-partyers are sleeping).

It doesn’t take much planning to have a wild night (or day) out in Pamplona during the San Fermin fiesta. Take enough money to last you through the night, and forget clocks and sunlight even exist. No matter where you go in the old city center, there will always be a party.
