The bulls from the ranch "Alcurrucén" completed the course in two and a half
minutes and there were no gorings, with only four minor injuries. One of the
bulls in Mercaderes Street stayed behind, but eventually regrouped with the running herd.
Pamplona’s main newspaper, the Diario de Navarra, reports just four injuries at this morning’s 8am run, most of them at the very beginning of the course on Calle Santo Domingo (the uphill cuesta where the bulls actually run fastest, bounding up the hill). None of the injuries were from horn punctures. The four hospitalized people suffered relatively light injuries from being knocked down by bulls or people. One person was unconscious from a concussion on the cobblestone street.
Along the famous Estafeta Street four bulls took the lead, allowing the young men to star in this nice run. It was in this
stretch where two bulls slipped and knocked people over.
